AI-powered Next Generation of VET
Project acronym: AI4VET4AI
Contact person: Mirjana Bogdan Majsec
Project implementation period: 15.06.2023.-14.06.2027.
About the project: The introduction of artificial intelligence (AI) is highly consequential for the world of work and thus for vocational education and training (VET). It demands from vocational education and training (VET) providers to teach their students new roles and tasks, it drives the growth of complexity of work, and it requires the existing and emerging vocational education and training (VET) experts to learn new forms of cooperative work alongside of artificial intelligence (AI). In confronting this change, the vocational education and training (VET) providers acknowledge and embrace their share of the digital transformation effort. The general objective of AI4VET4AI is to establish a transnational European platform for vocational education and training (VET) excellence. This platform aims to contribute to the digital transformation of the EU labour market by introducing innovative teaching content and methods into vocational education and training (VET) curricula across 11 European countries. The primary goal is to support and foster the growth of a skilled workforce in the field of artificial intelligence (AI).

Cyber Rapid Response Toolbox for Defence Use
Project acronym: CYBER4DE
Contact person: Marko Štajcer
Project implementation period: 1.12.2021. - 31.5.2024.
About the project: Rapid response to cyber-attacks is one of the main interests of European Defence as it strongly affects stability in Europe and outside Europe and wealth and safety of the society. Launched under European Defence Industrial Development Programme in December 2021, the project “Cyber Rapid Response Toolbox for Defence Use” (CYBER4DE) takes on the challenge to develop an easily deployable, modular, and scalable cyber rapid response toolbox to manage cyber incidents in different complex national and international scenarios. CYBER4DE stems from the needs of the project “Cyber Rapid Response Teams and Mutual Assistance in Cyber Security” under the Permanent Structured Cooperation (PESCO) framework, which seeks to ensure a higher level of cyber resilience and collective response to cyber incidents among the Union.
CYBER4DE aims to enhance processes and practices of Cyber Rapid Response Teams (CRRTs) for a faster uptake of the new tools and for increased effectiveness in the operating domain. Although fast forming CRRTs initiatives may provide necessary response to the emerging cyber threats, these teams can only operate in common enterprise environments, have limited capabilities for specialized systems, or are
dedicated to working only in organizations’ internal networks.
